Will The Real Iron Chef Please Come Back?
Oh wait…it has! YAY!
That’s right, as of yesterday, Iron Chef Japan returned to TV on the Fine Living Network!
For the past year or so, Food Network has produced a lackluster replacement called Iron Chef America but the true fans of Iron Chef quickly realized how little it compared. Something about those translations (right down to the very laugh!) and the real chairman of Kitchen Stadium make the show that much better. It’s those details that I miss. It just felt so much more authentic.
But I don’t have to miss them anymore!
Now I can enjoy the likes of Chen Kenichi, Hiroyuki Sakai, and of course, my absolute favorite (maybe because I met him and got his autograph): Masaharu Morimoto!

I still think the US version could have been salvaged if Shatner stayed on as the chairman.
