A delicious link…
I’ve gotten hooked on a blog recently. French Laundry at Home is stellar reading–eloquent, fascinating, and funny as hell. It’s even inspired me to pick up a cookbook not meant for novices: Thomas Keller’s The French Laundry Cookbook, the blog’s namesake and recipe source. The story goes like this. Carol, knowing she’d never get a “rezzie” at the prestigious French Laundry, decided to buy the cookbook and make the menu herself. A noble effort–and she chronicles it with style and plenty of beautiful photographs. Her latest post, in which she whips up a drool-inducing set of figs and honey-vanilla ice cream, got me so hungry I had to spend an entry linking it.
Whaaat? I’m not some kind of content-producing robot. Even a working eater’s gotta link sometimes.

I am LOVING that blog…although I’m feeling a bit cowed by her skills (and wishing she’d take a trip to Chicago and cook for me)
Posted by Melissa at August 17th, 2007, 8:07 amI agree, what a great blog! But she managed to give me a hankering for home made ice-cream at seven o’clock in the morning, damn her!
